We have been vacationing in this area for years and finally decided to give this place a try! It's got a great location and is beautiful at night with the lights. We started off with some beers to drink and of course had to get some oysters which were so fresh and delicious! For our mains, I got the fried grouper and the portions of fish here were great!! Overall we all loved our meals and had a great experience. Only downside was food was a tad bit more expensive than the menu we saw posted online.

This place is a must see if you are in town. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. We came in for dinner with our family and were seated right away. Kevin was our server and he greeted us with a smile and a silliness to make our night awesome. He politely took photos of our family to help us capture the evening and then he set off to get our drinks from the bar. The drinks were ok- not my favorite but not Kevin's fault. For dinner we shared the Korean shrimp- they were juicy and delicious. Cooked perfectly with a delicious arugula salad beneath them. The portion was generous at 6 shrimp for an appetizer which was impressive. For dinner we tried the shrimp scampi, and the grouper. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The kids gobbled up a peach cobbler for desert. Overall this place is beautiful and definitely charming. Kevin was knowledgeable about the menu and surrounding area which added to our experience. We would definitely come back. Parking is valet- they have an amazing system and hustle. Pay with cash to save 3.5% on your bill!

Why 5 stars? The Old Florida Fish House (or should I call it the "Old Florida GOLD house" haha) is a hidden gem on the Emerald Coast, and let me tell you, it's worth searching out. This location isn't just about the food (despite the fact that that's definitely a big draw). It's about the whole place, string lights twinkling overhead, cool things to explore around and being able to be lakeside with an awesome view. My son, generally a handful at restaurants, turned into almost breathing in his mac and cheese. That's when I realized we had struck gold. Now, let's talk about the food. The Crab Tower? A pretty cool tower of juicy crab meat, avocado and mango joy. My "Grouper Fish House" was cooked to perfection - it's no wonder why it's one of the top things on the menu. My son's mac and cheese was a success - creamy, cheesy goodness that disappeared almost immediately. The place by the lake is natural magic. It looks like a world away from crowded beaches and tourist traps of 30A but pretty much across the street. We spent after dinner strolling around, taking snap shots by the lake (that fish house boat is definitely Instagram moment!), and just soaking in the laid-back vibe and cool little side shops. And then, of course, the Florida weather decided to make an appearance. The rain came out of nowhere, but honestly, it was kind of hilarious. We took cover under an awning with a bunch of other diners, laughing at the whole situation. While we were partially soaked it just added to the night in a good way lol. Bottom line: If you're seeking out an area with first rate seafood, a kick-ass atmosphere, and fun memories, head to the Old Florida Fish House. You won't regret it.

Let me start with the most important pre-meal event...the drinks. Excellent excellent excellent drinks!! They are generous with the liquor and mixed perfectly...super yummy! I would definitely wait for a table outside in their courtyard area. If you sit inside with the live music it is very loud. If you sit in the back away from the music it is hot and stuffy. Ask to sit in the open area under the tent where all the little trees are located. As for the food, I would skip the shrimp cocktail, although the shrimps are a pretty good size. The shrimps weren't cold enough and the sauce was just ok. The fish dip was decent but I've had better. The blackened grouper was delicious and the fried shrimp was yummy. The tartar sauce was weird and tasted like it came out of a jar. We sat right in front of the Sushi bar and it looked super fresh even though I don't like cold fish. Overall, a great place to get a drink and some pretty good grouper!

We had great service here for lunch and the outdoor area is really great. Plenty of seating options in/out of shade and right by the water. I had the shrimp basket and it came with coleslaw and fries which were both delicious. The shrimp were larger than I was used to, and overall I was pretty impressed with my meal. I got to try the blackened mahi tacos and I think I'd order those next time as they were even more phenomenal. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try. Our entire group of 7 really enjoyed their meals.
